In a humanitarian and community initiative reflecting the approach of Al-Buqai World for Hakimi Therapy in supporting people and promoting social responsibility, Body Engineer and researcher Dr. Mohammad Khaled Al-Buqai sponsored a special celebration for children with thalassemia and their families, as well as honoring students with thalassemia who successfully passed the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination. The event was a day filled with joy, hope, appreciation, and support for patients and their families.

The initiative was organized in cooperation with the Health Affairs Experts Association and the North Gate Charity Association, with the participation of the administration and staff of Princess Rahma Teaching Hospital. The initiative highlighted the importance of joint efforts among local community organizations, healthcare institutions, and initiatives supporting patients.

Al-Buqai World emphasized that the initiative stems from Dr. Mohammad Khaled Al-Buqai’s belief that social responsibility goes beyond providing services. It also means standing alongside people in different circumstances, sharing moments of joy with patients and their families, and creating spaces for hope and happiness, particularly for children facing health challenges that require continuous humanitarian and social support.

The celebration featured a joyful atmosphere, with traditional chants, ululations, and spontaneous dances performed by the children. These moments reflected the simplicity of joy and the profound impact that such initiatives can have on patients and their families. The various celebratory activities also helped transform the occasion into a special day filled with smiles and positive energy.

Al-Buqai World expressed its appreciation for the significant efforts made by the administration and staff of Princess Rahma Teaching Hospital in caring for thalassemia patients, emphasizing the vital role played by the medical sector in serving children with the condition and their families.

The celebration was attended by the Director of Princess Rahma Teaching Hospital, Dr. Zaidoun Al-Sharman; Head of the Thalassemia Department, Dr. Maha Obeidat; and Head of the Pediatrics Department, Consultant Dr. Medhat Mohammad Yousef Al-Buqai, alongside medical and nursing staff and other hospital employees.

Representatives of the partner organizations and associations also participated in the initiative. The Health Affairs Experts Association was represented by Dr. Issam Al-Essa, Mustafa Bani Hani, Mohammad Na’amneh, and Najeeb Abu Bakr. The North Gate Charity Association was represented by Ammar Al-Qadi, Nadheer Qawasmeh, and Dr. Mohammad Abu Zaid, along with a number of supporters and participants who contributed to the success of the event.

As a gesture highlighting Al-Buqai World’s commitment to supporting students and their educational journeys, financial envelopes were presented at the end of the celebration to ten students with thalassemia who had successfully passed the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination. The gesture recognized their achievement and encouraged them to continue their education and pursue their future aspirations.

The staff of the Thalassemia Department were also honored with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their efforts in caring for and following up with patients. In addition, Body Engineer Dr. Mohammad Khaled Al-Buqai presented commemorative plaques to Dr. Zaidoun Al-Sharman, Director of Princess Rahma Teaching Hospital; Dr. Maha Obeidat, Head of the Thalassemia Department; and the Thalassemia Department itself. The Health Affairs Experts Association and the North Gate Charity Association were also honored in recognition of their roles in making the humanitarian initiative a success.

In return, the participating organizations and associations, together with the event’s team, honored Dr. Mohammad Khaled Al-Buqai with a commemorative plaque in recognition of his sponsorship and support of the initiative, as well as his continued efforts to serve the community and promote humanitarian initiatives that place people at the heart of their priorities.
