With hearts overwhelmed by sorrow, and in the strongest terms of condemnation and denunciation, Al-Baqaei Center follows with deep concern the tragic incident that took place today in Karak Governorate, resulting in deaths and injuries following an armed attack on a church during a funeral ceremony. This cowardly and reprehensible act stands in stark contradiction to the values of religion and humanity and constitutes an assault on the sanctity of places of worship and the fundamental right of every human being to live in safety.

We extend our sincerest condolences and deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and wish the injured a swift and full recovery. We reaffirm our unwavering solidarity with our homeland, Jordan, its leadership, its people, and its institutions in confronting every threat to its security, stability, and national cohesion.

Jordan will remain one united nation, bringing its people together through mutual respect, dignity, and genuine citizenship. Our national unity will continue to be our strongest shield against sedition, hatred, and violence. Christians and Muslims are members of one nation and partners in its history, present, and future. Any attack against any component of our society is an attack against Jordan as a whole.

At Al-Baqaei Center, we unequivocally condemn this cowardly criminal act and reject all forms of violence, extremism, and incitement. We call for wisdom, national solidarity, and collective responsibility, while allowing the competent authorities to fulfill their duties and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable in accordance with the law. We further urge everyone to refrain from spreading rumors or engaging in anything that could fuel discord or undermine national unity.

In these difficult moments, we reaffirm that Jordan’s strength lies in the solidarity and unity of its people. The lives, dignity, and security of all Jordanians are a shared responsibility and a trust entrusted to us all. Our national and moral duty calls upon us to stand united behind our homeland, safeguard its unity, and preserve its security and stability.

May Allah protect Jordan and its people, perpetuate the blessings of security and peace upon the nation, and keep its flag flying high as a symbol of unity, steadfastness, and resistance to division and discord under the banner of the Hashemite Royal Family.
