This is what happened to Joud Al-Qaisi, a little girl who had not yet completed her second day of life when she lost the ability to move her left arm following an injury sustained during birth. However, according to the family’s account, the improvement they had hoped for was not achieved to the extent they had expected.

With continued treatment and rehabilitation, movement in the shoulder and hand progressively improved, until Joud became, according to her family, more capable of moving and lifting her left hand and using it while playing.
